Summary

You will serve as a Supervisory Management Analyst (GG-14) that shares fully in the duties and responsibilities in support of the military Chief of Staff for long-term continuity of leadership, resiliency, content management, oversight and unified execution of actions. This position is located in Suitland, MD at NATIONAL MARITIME INTELLIGENCE CENTER.

Duties

Help
  • You will ensure agency coordination, assignment, and timely completion of tasking that affect day-to-day operations and strategic mission in support of Senior Leadership.
  • You will perform supervisory, technical, administrative and management tasks and duties for civilian and military members.
  • You will organize, plan, and direct the work of the functional area for which program objectives and limitations are established.
  • You will ensure effective use of assigned personnel and quality of work produced.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
  • All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS/GG-13) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as:
1) Organizing and directing the work of the functional area for which program objectives and limitations are established;
2) Justifying, directing, and allocating resources (people, budget, material) across the organization and for setting organizational goals, objectives, and priorities;
3) Recommending improvements to policies and plans in alignment with mission objectives;
4) Coordinating the accomplishment of major projects/tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures.
