Help
  • Review, approves or redirects procurement planning.

  • Acquisition Corps (AC) membership is required prior to appointment to a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP) unless a waiver is granted. Subject to membership proof, AC members from other services will be accepted by Army without additional review.
  • Acquisition Corps (AC) membership or eligibility is required. Unless a waiver is granted or an exception exists, the education requirements for AC membership include a bachelor?s degree AND at least 24 semester hours in business type coursework.
  • Additional criteria for Acquisition Corps membership or eligibility includes 4 years of service in an Acquisition, Technology and Logistics position either in the Department of Defense or a comparable position in industry or government.
  • Must sign an Acquisition Corps written tenure agreement to remain in the Federal service in this position for at least 3 years.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: contracting activities for a major systems acquisition program. Manage all facets of contract requirements from cradle to grave with minimal supervision; prepare contracts requirements packages including development of acquisition plans, acquisition strategies, performing market research, justifications and approvals and other acquisition related documents; coordination with requiring elements and Army Contracting Command for expeditious management and award of contract actions; coordination with cost and finance for IGCE completion and administration of funding.

The above experience is equivalent to the NH-03 or GS-13 grade level in the Federal service.

This is a pay banded position. The NH-04 band encompasses grades 14 and 15 under the General Schedule (GS) system.

This position is pay capped at GS-14 Step 10.
