Summary

About the Position: Serve as an Enterprise End User Support Specialist in the Operations Division of the CIO/G-6 for U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) which is responsible for supporting the mission requirements of USACE customers by delivering mission-focused IT services using an enterprise service delivery. The incumbent will be the primary liaison between CIO/G-6 and its customers, serving as a senior technical authority, advisor and functional specialist in the Operations Division.

Duties

Help
  • Developing and growing existing and new customer relationships.
  • Conduct Marketing intelligence development (Trending) in order to complete projects as required.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of customer contact for IT services and capabilities.
  • Apply expert knowledge of information technology in developing strategies that improve customer experience and satisfaction.
  • Conduct comprehensive strategic analysis of their customers, involving operating, mission and/or service needs, with a customer-centric perspective; i.e., personalized customer service
  • Serve as technical authority and senior specialist for all customer care account management issues/problems, provides technical analysis and planning to support consolidation and integration

  • This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to sign DA Form 5019 requiring participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450.
  • Temporary duty (TDY) travel may be required up to 25% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as:1) monitoring trends within customer organizations to determine the need for new and/or modified IT products/services AND 2) Provide evaluation of potential impacts of new technologies AND 3) managing IT services to address any problems.
All experience areas shall additionally demonstrate each of the following competencies: 1) Attention to Detail, 2) Customer Service, 3) Oral Communication 4) Problem Solving.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
