THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY ACCOUNTING TECHNICIAN, Position Description Number T5149000 and is part of the CO USPFO, National Guard.

The primary purpose is to provide technical and administrative supervision in the Accounting Section that serves the ARNG military and Technician personnel.

Duties

Help

Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Develops goals and objectives that integrate organizational and Comptroller Division objectives. Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with other Comptroller Division supervisors, unit supervisors, supported organizations, and higher headquarters. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Must be a current Title 5 or Title 32 Federal Technician within USPFO and are the grade of GS-08 to GS-10.

  • Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program.

Qualifications

Please advise:

1. Specialized experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position.

You will be immediately disqualified if you fail to include specialized experience in your resume.

Must have at least 36 months of Specialized Experience in each of the following:
1. Experience in administrative, professional or technical work that provided the opportunity to acquire knowledge of management principles, practices, methods and techniques.
2. Experience in one functional area of accounting which included making objective and logical determination of facts.
3. Experience developing, coordinating and maintaining an integrated accounting system.
4. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed.
5. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.

Certification Level 2: THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051, amending 10 United States Code, section 1599d. Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program. This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.

Education

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience - Completion of 2 academic years of education in an accredited college or university will satisfy the requirements for GS-4 positions. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience.
