You will serve as the Director for the Information Technology Directorate, as such you will be responsible for:
Leading, participating, and implementing the organizational vision of OIG. Working with the Assistant Inspector General and Deputy Assistant Inspector General in developing the Office of Management’s Strategic, Multi-year, and Annual Plans and ensures linkage of these documents. Prioritizing work within assigned area and assigning personnel to priority work. Providing leadership and supervision to the Systems Operations, Systems Development, Technical Support and Information Security groups. Responsible for overseeing the planning, leading, and implementation of projects in all aspects of the system development life cycle. Serving as a senior advisor and consultant to OM management officials. Approving operations and development timelines containing objectives, milestones and staff day budgets; overseeing implementation and evaluation of special projects associated with OM goals and objectives. Monitoring implementation and directs adjustments.
Performing the administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised. Plans, schedules, and assigns work to subordinates. Establishing guidelines and performance expectations for staff members; provides feedback and periodically evaluates employee performance. Provides advice, counsel, and/or instruction to staff members. Recommends or approves appointments, selections, or reassignments to positions appropriate to the selection authority delegated. Effects disciplinary measures as appropriate to the authority delegated in this area. Carries out Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies and program activities.
Managing the lifecycle of an information technology project from concept development through implementation. Identifies customer requirements, develops technical approaches, and coordinates project resources related to project costs and schedules.
Oversees software development and commercial-off-the shelf software package configurations that involve the design, documentation, development, modification, testing, installation, implementation, and support of new and existing software applications.
Serves as as Contracting Officer Representative and comments on draft legislation and government-wide regulations.
Position has portable work and selectee may be eligible to telework.
The incumbent must obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications
BASIC requirement (OPM GS-2210 IOR): Individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate. The agency has identified the specific level of proficiency required for each competency based on the on the requirements of the position being filled. In addition to the above OPM GS-2210 IOR competencies, to qualify for the GS-15 level, you need to have at least one year of full time experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the federal service, with experience that includes:
Leading a team, on studies or projects of a broad scope involving national programs with significant complex or precedent setting issues, understanding potential success of programs in terms of meeting objectives and the relationships with other key functions within the organization.
Planning and managing IT projects involving interrelated disciplines and multiple stages of the systems development lifecycle, e.g., integrating systems analysis, software development, database administration, and customer support into the project plan.
Leading initiatives to improve organizational performance through data analysis, strategic solutions, and effective integration of those solutions to set priorities for improvements and reflect alignment between organizational goals, program activities, and resources.
