This opportunity is open to U.S. Citizens or U.S. Nationals who are Students enrolled on at least a half-time basis, or accepted for enrollment, and seeking a degree (diploma, certificate, etc.) in a qualifying educational institution; have at least a cumulative (overall) 2.0 grade point average or higher on a 4.0 scale; remain in good academic standing; and be at least 16 years of age.
2 - Secret- This position has been designated non-critical sensitive and requires incumbent to obtain and maintain eligibility for a Secret clearance. Must meet and continue to adhere to the requirements of a Tier 3 level background investigation.
The following are the duties of this position, Student Trainee (Administrative Operations), at the GS-07 level. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform these duties and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
In this advanced entry-level position, the Participant performs analysis and advisories related to assigned administrative programs and/or operations that will become increasingly more difficult/complex with progressive training. The incumbent will perform one or more of the following assignments/tasks:
Completes segments of studies or problem analysis for administrative operations. Studies plans,collections and/or complied data from primary and secondary sources. Responsible to research and analyze information; trace sequences of actions; prepare entries for systems; and/or recommend actions to resolve questions or eliminate problems. Completes standardized reports and presentations on resulting analysis.
Administers to a variety of tasks for the support service programs that are essential to the orderly and efficient accomplishment of the work to include management of communications, printing,procurement, property, space, security, or travel.
Tracks and monitors status/progress of team tasks, plans, or projects.
Gathers information pursuant to requests for requests for information disclosure, issuance of denials, redactions, or access to Federal agency records.
Reviews cases and prepares draft reports for information to be disseminated in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act, or a combination of both.

Pathways Internship Eligibility:

For the GS-07: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Gathering, analyzing and evaluating various types of data and then providing functional guidance and recommending solutions to a supervisor, management or other personnel. It must include significant experience with spreadsheets and the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data.
OR Education: One full year of graduate level education in a related field, or Superior Academic Achievement based on a bachelor's degree that is demonstrated through class standing (upper 1/3 of class), grade point average (2.95/4.0 overall or 3.5/4.0 in major), or election to membership in a qualifying national scholastic honor society;
OR Combination of Education and Experience: You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements and may be computed using the total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required and adding the percentage of the required education completed; the total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.

OR Education: You may qualify with the completion of 4 academic years of post-high school, leading to a bachelor's degree or equivalent degree; OR Combination of education and experience: You may qualify with a combination of qualifying education and experience. (For example: the completion of 50% requirements for a Bachelor's degree and 6 months of specialized experience.)
