The incumbent serves primarily as a Custodial Worker with security tasks assigned. This position is located at the Nevada Skies Youth Regional Treatment Center located in Wadsworth, NV. The incumbent will report to the Supervisor of the department.
Summary

The incumbent serves primarily as a Custodial Worker with security tasks assigned. This position is located at the Nevada Skies Youth Regional Treatment Center located in Wadsworth, NV. The incumbent will report to the Supervisor of the department.

Cleans and disinfects restrooms and resident rooms.
Moves heavy furniture, supplies, and equipment.
Performs preventative and minor maintenance as required.
Performs inspection of outdoors areas and removes debris and litter, clears walkways, and ensures driveways are clear of dirt, ice and snow.
Observes patients and visitors and alerts appropriate personnel regarding suspicious behavior or events.
NOTE: Work requires considerable physical exertion such as long periods of standing, walking, bending, or moving of heavy items.

This is a designated position covered by Public Law 101-630, requiring contact or control over Indian children. Upon tentative selection, selectee will be requested to complete, sign, and submit the Addendum to OF-306, Child Care & Indian Child Care Worker Position form. Due to this requirement, the agency must ensure that persons hired for these positions have not been found guilty of or pleaded nolo contendere or guilty to certain crimes.
Measles and Rubella immunization required for selectees born after 1957. Seasonal Influenza immunization is required for civilian health care facility staff working in Indian Health Service health care facilities.
On-call hours or standby duty may be required.
Selectee may be required to travel and must possess a valid driver license.

Security Clearance: If you are selected for this vacancy, you must undergo a pre-employment fingerprint check and background investigation. To qualify for this position you must meet the following requirements:
You must possess the ability to do the work without more than normal supervision. You may meet this requirement if your resume provides details that you have experience and/or training to perform routine janitorial and custodial work. Examples include: Sweeping, scrubbing, and waxing floors; washing windows and walls; dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures; and emptying waste cans. Work is done by hand or with powered equipment such as power scrubbers and buffers.
