Summary

This position is located in the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (DoD OIG), DODIG - EVALUATIONS. In this position, you will serve as an Evaluator under the Program Director for Intelligence and will be responsible to perform board and complex assignments for the Intelligence division.

Duties

Help
  • Serves as a technical advisor and specialists in all matters related to the defense intelligence enterprise and other matters as may be assigned such as the security enterprise.
  • Plans and manages comprehensive quantitative or qualitative projects of the effectiveness and efficiency of highly complex DoD-wide programs including nuclear matters or other highly sensitive projects.
  • Manages complex reviews involving defense intelligence enterprise issues or other issues as assigned, develops and applies advanced analytical techniques and evaluative methodology in planning and execution projects phases.
  • Participates in inter-agency projects of over-arching issues impacting the Intelligence Community.
  • Oversees and directs and controls all phases of the project to achieve the desired results. Ensures the projects are conducted in a manner that satisfies evaluation objectives.
  • Prepares complete and acceptable briefings, information memorandum or other information to keep the OIG management apprised of the program status and issues.
  • Prepares and staffs draft and final reports for each project and prepares and staffs draft and final summary or trend reports within assigned functional areas.
  • Supervises a staff of senior analysts and evaluators. Strives to increase productivity of the staff; plans and assigns work and established priorities and deadlines, considering the relative difficulty of the work and the capabilities of the staff.

  • Position has been designated as Special Sensitive/Sensitive Compartmented Information. Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
  • Incumbent is required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment and is subject to random drug testing for the duration of service with DoD OIG.
  • Current DoD civilian employees are not required to submit to drug testing if moving from one Testing Designated Position (TDP) to another with no break in service, unless deemed appropriate on a case-by-case basis.
  • If you have not previously completed a probationary period with the Federal government in a similar position, you will be required to serve a two-year probationary period.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience Definition:

You must have 52 weeks of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level: Specialized experience is defined as working in a supervisory and/or lead capacity overseeing a staff of senior analysts and evaluators who are responsible for all matters related to defense intelligence enterprise, special access programs and security issues; managing complex reviews of security programs to include developing and applying advanced analytical techniques and evaluative methodology and the planning and execution of projects; collection, analysis, and production of sensitive information to support national security leaders, including policymakers, military commanders, and members of Congress; and safeguarding these processes and this information through counterintelligence activities.

Only experience obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered.
