Qualifications

For the GS-5: One full-time year of administrative experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-4 in the Federal service or private sector. Experience which demonstrates applying office methods, procedures, clerical and administrative support functions in an office. OR
A 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree, OR a bachelor's degree in any field of study. OR
A combination of education and experience.

For the GS-6 level: One full-time year of administrative experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-5 in the Federal service or private sector. Experience which demonstrates a specific knowledge in administrative specialties such as limited range of technical and administrative support functions (i.e. related to personnel, fiscal and administrative management).

For the GS-7 level: One full-time year of administrative experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-6 in the Federal service or private sector. Experience which demonstrates a comprehensive knowledge in administrative processes and procedures (i.e. related to personnel administration, time and attendance and administrative management).

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement 09/16/2020 including time-in-grade restrictions, specialized experience and/or education, as defined.

Time in grade: Current federal employees applying for a promotion opportunity must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirement of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.

Education

College Transcript: If you are qualifying based on education, submit a copy of your college transcript that lists college courses detailing each course by the number and department (i.e., bio 101, math 210, etc.), course title, number of credit hours and grade earned. You must submit with your application package evidence that any education completed in a foreign institution was appropriately accredited by an accredited body recognized by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Education as equivalent to U.S. Education standards.
