Duties

Help
  • You will develop, coordinate approval, and implement policy and program guidance which supports the integration and synchronization of both manual and automated records management across the command.
  • You will determine the records and forms management content; how it is structured, shared, controlled and made easily accessible for the command.
  • You will work with the Information Technology personnel to ensure all command information systems incorporate records management functionality appropriate to the records/information assets they support.
  • You will support and maintain continuous development of organization practices and promote both tactic and explicit knowledge as an asset to the organization.
  • You will work with the command?s legal counsel and team members to ensure that records/information data are properly managed to ensure government accountability, protect the interests of the public, and mitigate records-related litigation risks.
  • You will provide expert analysis, through the performance of a broad range of operations system/executive software and processing hardware support tasks, to facilitate the creation, maintenance and enhancement of information systems.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position is considered Key/Non-Combat Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.
  • This position requires a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) check to be completed on any person selected for this position. You must be willing and able to submit to a SCHR check.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: having expert knowledge of records management laws, regulations, rules, policies and procedures; holding knowledge of state-of-the-art technology, Information Technology processes and Automated Information Systems; skillful in applying analytic and evaluative methods and techniques; and have the ability to plan, implement and manage a data governance program.
