    The incumbent serves as the Senior Compliance Specialist in the Office of the General Counsel (OGC), within the US Access Board (Access Board). The incumbent is responsible for the programmatic aspects of accessibility compliance.

    Responsibilities

    As a Senior Compliance Specialist, you will:

    -Develop and review policy issuances, regulations, guidelines, and public statements related to compliance procedures, systems, and enforcement of the Architectural Barriers Act (ABA).
    -Prepare legislative, regulatory, and administrative recommendations for the General Counsel, Executive Director, and the Board pertaining to compliance issues; analyze related pending legislation and administrative regulations; prepare legislative and administrative testimony and reports on compliance issues for the Board, the Executive Director and the General Counsel.
    -Advise the General Counsel and Executive Director on the most effective means of ensuring compliance with the accessibility standards under the ABA.
    -Advise the General Counsel and staff on measures to resolve ABA complaints, particularly in cases involving novel or complex issues; personally participates in and leads investigation and resolution of ABA complaints, including negotiation of agreements.
    -Establish and maintain effective contacts with high-level (sub-cabinet) Federal representatives and Presidential appointees.
