Duties

Help
  • Develops, prepares, interprets, administers, and evaluate programs, methods, techniques, and practices relating to control of Government property in possession of contractors.
  • Ensures contractors comply with contract requirements and procurement regulations pertaining to Government property in possession of contractors.
  • Uses judgment in interpreting unique or special contract provisions relating to control of Government property.
  • Makes investigations pertaining to contractor's liability with respect to Government property when evidence of unreasonable use of consumption is obtained.
  • Reviews contractors requests for property from excess pools and the reporting and disposal of excess and surplus personal property.

Qualifications

Applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade, which has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies needed to successfully perform the duties of the position described above.

Specialized experience includes: Experience as a designated property administrator applying the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), NASA FAR Supplement (NFS), NASA operation policies for property management, customary commercial practices, quality inspection/acceptance and/or financial policies in order to control and management Government property and related property management systems and; experience implementing property control guidelines and interpreting unique or special contract provisions relating to control of Government property.

Current Federal employees must meet time in grade and three months after competitive appointment restrictions by the closing date of the announcement.
