Summary
This position is located in the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (DoD OIG), DODIG - DIG FOR ADMINISTRATIVE INV. The DODIG - DIG FOR ADMINISTRATIVE INV is responsible for the conduct and oversight of investigations into allegations against senior officials within the DoD. The division also conducts reviews, surveys, and studies, when required.

As a Investigative Support Specialist, GS-1801-12, your typical work assignments may include the following:Responsibilities
- Performs life cycle investigative support management of complaints including intake, analysis, electronic and hard copy records management, status tracking and reporting, monitoring corrective action and case closeout.
- Maintains investigative records, ensuring security, retention and disposal consistent with DoD OIG and National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) policy and regulation.
- Processes Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests for investigative records in accordance with Agency guidelines and time frames.
- Monitors incoming and outgoing Congressional correspondence.
Travel Required
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel less than 10% for this position.
