Duties

Help
  • Performs a wide range of activities supporting the Division/District/Site including vulnerability management, media destruction, Personal Identifiable Information (PII) loss reporting, classified spillage reporting and wireless scanning.
  • Works with customers and peers to ensure requirements for new initiatives are considered and processed through the enterprise change management process.
  • Analyzes new cyber directives and provides recommendation in developing procedures to comply.
  • Ensures networks and connected devices comply with all Information Assurance guidance and directives.
  • Prepares, disseminates and maintains plans, instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) concerning cyber security. Works with the Computer Incident Response Team (CIRT) and local staff for any security violations and incidents.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance
  • IAM level I and level II is required within 6 months of occupying the position.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience
equivalent to the next lower grade/level (GS-11). Specialized experience is
defined as: (1) Implementing IT security policies and procedures AND (2)
performing system/network accreditation activities under an established
process AND (3) Reviewing impact of new or existing IT procedures OR (4)
Performing change management to minimize impact to the production
system/network AND you must possess experience in Information Technology on
each of the following competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service,
Oral Communication and Problem Solving.
