Duties

Help

Incumbent is responsible for the inventory of supplies and linen used in support of the operation.  Prepare purchase request forms and documents for approval and place orders for APF/NAF purchases, where appropriate.  Maintain assigned storerooms and linen storage spaces and is required to maintain a minimum of 90% inventory accuracy.  Receive and count linen received from the commercial laundry service or onsite laundry operation.  Issue linen as requested by the housekeeping department.  Receive, count, place in inventory and prepare goods receipts for all supplies as appropriate.  Maintain stock records and conduct monthly inventories as appropriate. Must possess a welcoming manner and  positive  attitude; professionally interact  with  guests; answering guest  questions concerning hotel facilities; and provide information about local attractions. Provide  assistance  in  handling customer complaints, involving management  as necessary. Ensure security and privacy of all guests is maintained at all times.

Qualifications

Preferred 6 months of work experience that demonstrates incumbent knowledge of inventory management including purchasing procedure and computerized record keeping. Must be skilled in the use of a personal computer and various software programs and proficient with a calculator.  Must possess basic math and reading skills.  Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing in English.
