You will be responsible for playing a critical part in our employee engagement efforts, promoting our mission, values, and vision to employees, and creating internal campaigns around those efforts. Your work will help connect 1,000 employees located across the United States and you will be recommending and carrying out new, creative ways to communicate with employees. You will be working across all levels of the organization, including with senior management, to ensure our messages and efforts reach employees. You will also be responsible for assisting in planning events, such as our annual IG awards ceremony and other meetings, speaker series, and grass-roots efforts to help employees connect across and with the organization.
Our ideal candidate has at least five years of experience in developing employee engagement and communication initiatives. This person needs to be a team player who is comfortable presenting to, representing, and working with diverse groups throughout the organization, including senior management. They should be highly organized and a self-starter who is able to translate ideas into deliverables. Additionally, this individual will not only be responsible for engaging and communicating with our workforce but will also be a key resource in helping to identify and develop new and innovative ways to engage with employees.

Participates in and executes the planning, development, coordination, writing, editing, design and dissemination of both organizational and mass communications products to external and internal audiences via print, broadcast video, podcast and digital media.
Develops and posts approved content for internal and external communications channels including the OIG blog, official social media sites, public website, intranet sites, and email updates
Ensures content on the communications channels is current and relevant.
Responsible for writing, reporting, and editing content for general information and events.
Responsible for capturing still photographs and video footage to be used in OIG products.
Career Advancement Opportunities
The USPS OIG uses a Pay Banding system, which is equivalent to the Federal GS scale. Grade and salary determinations will be made based upon a candidate's education and professional experience.This position is being advertised at the Journey Band level, equivalent to a GS 9 to GS-12.
The salary range for this position is $59,534.00 to $112,240.00 per year and includes locality pay of 30.48%.
Non-competitive promotion up to a GS-13 equivalent level is possible through our career ladder program is at management's discretion.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
At least five years of professional experience in corporate marketing or corporate communications, with an emphasis on internal employee communications
Experience in supporting marketing or communications activities within an organization of 200 or more employees
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's or master's degree in communications or marketing
Experience working with a geographically diverse workforce
Proficiency with Office 365, including SharePoint and TEAMS
