Summary

Duties

Help
  • Plan, develop, and organize long-range lesson plans and daily class work.
  • Ensure in-depth learning within the allotted time frame to meet course/curriculum content standards.
  • Supports, counsels, and motivates students to meet or exceed grade-level standards.
  • Contributes to creating a school climate conducive to learning, achievement, and citizenship.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education requirements described below:

A major in art or a minimum of 24 semester hours in art is required. Coursework must include a methods course in teaching art at the elementary level and at least one course each in drawing, painting, and art history/art appreciation. A minimum of 9 upper level semester hours in art is required.
