  • You will maintain and control the supervisors' calendars advising them daily of appointments or conference.
  • You will perform liaison duties as necessary between the division head, his subordinates, and other department personnel.
  • You will function as the records custodian receiving, assessing, issuing and filing records including process instructions, directives, and correspondence.
  • You will establish and maintain files primarily for the use of the division including material such as correspondence and reports.
  • You will draft computer generated correspondence (e.g., reports, graphs, indices, statistics) using Microsoft Office applications

  • This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

FOR THE GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing administrative support in an office setting to include using office automation and software systems for preparing documents and correspondence, scheduling appointments, and identifying and resolving administrative matters.

FOR THE GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing administrative support in an office setting to include preparing, proofreading or editing correspondence, scheduling appointments, greeting visitors, and answering phones.
