Duties

The following are the duties of this position at the GS-15. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.


Formulates, modify and oversee the execution of the Applications Services programs for the National Revenue Center (NRC).
Develop policies pertaining to program areas. Determine and resolve complex and sensitive issues to implement alcohol, tobacco, and firearms policies.
Plan and conduct internal reviews and analyses of NRC application and permit program to see if there are areas where improvements can be made.
Analyze, comment on, and suggest revisions to proposed changes in laws, regulations and rulings.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: 

-Planning and implementing enterprise level programs or projects; AND
-Recommending goals, strategies, and plans required to meet objectives set by program agencies; AND
-Experience consulting, making recommendations to and implementing solutions for executive level staff; AND
-Experience performing administrative and technical supervision and direction over the work of other specialists or employees.

Specialized experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: 

-Recommending goals, strategies, and plans required to meet objectives set by program agencies; AND
-Experience consulting, making recommendations to and implementing solutions for executive level staff; AND
-Experience performing administrative and technical supervision and direction over the work of other specialists or employees.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required.
