This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Facilities Engineering Career Field Level II. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Evaluating the information received from the field, determining the urgency and making an effective decision independently;
Interpreting and applying technical guidelines appropriate to each individual circumstance to make decisions;
Analyzing processes used in facility maintenance activities to make recommendation for changes;
Utilizing knowledge of the use and complexities of computerized facility and work order management systems; and
Assisting with developing scopes of work, contract performance standards and government estimates.
