Duties

Help

As a Management & Program Analyst, you will:

- Analyze OCIO programs and provide expert advice to management on the effectiveness, productivity, and efficiency of these programs.

- Identify, determine, recommend update and/or create program policies and procedures to increase the effectiveness in managing OCIO programs. Influence the formulation of policies, development of program plans, designs and issuance of directives, instructions, standard operating procedures, and recommendations.

- Develop procedures and systems for assessing the effectiveness of administrative management processes and operations.

- Analyze new or proposed legislation, regulations, or other authoritative guidance to determine impact on program operations.

- Apply new developments to previously unsolvable problems; and make decisions or recommendations that significantly influence important DOC OIG IT policies or programs.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience:  For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: 

- Creating reports, IT governance structures, correspondence, and IT drafting policies; AND
- Directing the day-to-day IT administration of IT operations and development for an organization; AND
- Analyzing and developing IT solutions to enhance organizational process and operational efficiencies in an automated environment; AND
- Establishing and maintaining IT governance, IT contracts and/or IT licenses.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation.

Rating: Your application will be evaluated in the following areas: Technical, Analytical, Communication and Leadership. Category rating will be used to rank and select eligible candidates. Your rating may be lowered if your responses to the online questions are not supported by the education and/or experience described in your application.
