    This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, Center for Legislative Archives.. As an Archivist, you will be carrying out complex professional assignments involving delivery of advisory services to Federal agencies.

    The following are the duties of this position at the GS-12. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
    -Contributes to the planning of programs leading to the identification and protection of permanently valuable records.
    -Plans and coordinates activities leading to the identification of records eligible for transfer to the National Archives and Records Administration.
    -Recognizes the complexity associated with applicability of multiple restrictions and recommends appropriate steps to address such complexity.
    -Contributes significantly to the planning of a finding aids program that facilitates discovery and use of a complex body of records.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
