As a INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST you will be responsible for the following duties:
Researches, analyzes, and produces intelligence data and information relative to the Agency's larger mission of combat support, Combatant Command (CCMD) support, technology development, arms control implementation, threat reduction, and WMD preparedness.
Plans, organizes, and conducts research on specific intelligence issues pertaining to WMD threats to US and allied nations and on issues within broadly defined and interrelated areas of analytical concern.
Provides written input to reports being prepared for dissemination to the Agency's senior leadership and its personnel.
Prepares briefings and written products for the Department, disseminating current information through various written and automated means.
Conducts research on various intelligence communications and database systems to fulfill requirements.
Coordinates pertinent information closely with Agency elements and the IC.
On a daily basis, processes and reviews substantial amounts of intelligence information from various sources. Using computer systems and systematic analytical methods, maintains and manipulates various databases in support of the Departments situational awareness mission. Continually maintains required input to databases and templates for J2 web dissemination.
Monitors requests for information and ensures fulfillment of all requirements submitted by Agency's personnel and CCMD elements.
Collects, analyzes, evaluates, interprets, and disseminates information on political, economic, social, cultural, physical, geographic, scientific, or military conditions, trends, and forces in foreign and domestic areas that directly or indirectly affect the national security.
Researches and produces for a variety of customers intelligence reports ranging from simple memos to in-depth, detailed assessments based on incomplete or conflicting data.
Checks varying databases, websites, reporting's, and develops, verifies, analyzes, sources and evaluates information prior to beginning a research project and continues through until final dissemination.
Responds to collection/production related issues, developments, and trends that impact the Agency/Center missions.
Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, and will typically be demonstrated by working at, or immediately below the level of the job being advertised, for a year or more. The previous work experience must clearly demonstrate the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Specialized experience required for this position is:
Experience conducting activities associated with worldwide WMD, counter proliferation and arms control.
Experience with Combating WMD plans, programs, intelligence, doctrine, and policy.
Experience with support to counter threat network programs or activities. Experience with OSD, Joint Staff and Combatant Commands and Interagency roles and overall missions in relation to the CWMD mission and functional responsibilities.
