CYS Program Associate Technology Lab employee duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsible for the operation of the Child and Youth Services (CYS) Technology Lab in accordance with applicable regulations, and trains children/youth in use of equipment and software programs.
Assist in designing and responsible for implementing an Educational Technology Program for youth 6-18 years of age by planning, coordinating, and conducting activities for program participants based on observed needs of individual children/youth.
Creates a positive environment in CYS Technology Lab that includes appropriate physical space, furnishings, wall displays, and resource materials and supplies to supplement computer software programs and Internet access.
Ensures the use of technology is fully integrated into all activities and events in the facility to include each of The Army's School-Age and Youth Four Core Service Areas.
Ensures computer, peripherals, and software are maintained in good condition and working order, troubleshoots CYS hardware, printers, scanners, servers and software.
Incorporates baseline programming and implementation of Boys and Girls Clubs of America and 4-H Materials for children and youth Kindergarten/1st - 12th Grade.
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position (T-1 with Childcare background requirements).
A one year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
Appointment subject to favorable suitability determination.
Successful completion of a pre-employment physical.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and the abilities to stoop, stand, kneel, bend, walk on a routine basis.
Immunizations may be required as a condition of employment for the health and safety of those in the facility as determined by medical authority.
Satisfactory performance, successful completion of training requirements (transition and/or annual) and demonstrated on the job competency is required.
Must have current health assessment which documents good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations IAW current Army and DoD policy including annual influenza vaccinations.
Failure to achieve desired training with demonstrated competence may result in separation. Position requires working with computers, peripherals, software and common hand and electrical tools.
Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.
Qualifications

1. Be able to communicate in English (verbal and written)
2. Be 18 years of age at time of employment.
3. Possess and maintain ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs, walk, bend, stoop, and stand on a routine basis.
4. Possess and maintain health and freedom from communicable disease.
5. Possess knowledge and demonstrated skill in Microsoft Windows and Applications using the Internet (email, searching, web page design) and network computing.
6. Possess a professional certificate or higher related to computer science/information technology, OR
24 months of experience working in the related field.
