    You will serve as a ACCOUNTANT in the Comptroller Department (N8), Financial Compliance and Policy (N80) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND.

    • You will develop evaluation plans, procedures, and methodologies based on FIAR objectives, and provide expert technical advice on a variety of financial programs and processes, identifying any potential change to objectives.
    • You will conduct entrance conferences with management/target organization, explaining the purpose for the evaluation and answering questions regarding complex and controversial issues.
    • You will conduct surveys, reviews, assessments, and evaluations of complex business and financial management practices to determine the impact on program operations.
    • You will review background material, develop an evaluation approach, and prepare a detailed evaluation program which will give proper coverage to specific problems designed to attain the objectives of each assignment.
    • You will prepare and maintain a working paper record of all actions found and observed, analyzes and evaluates findings, and is prepared to discuss findings with the N80, auditees and Command management.
    • You will develop and write draft follow-up reports in accordance with generally accepted FIAR standards and other relevant authoritative guidance.
    • You will monitor the implementation of corrective action plans (CAPs) by performing and reviewing follow-up testing and audits.
    • You will develop and write financial policies addressing changing authoritative financial guidance that affect MSC?s financial operations or as identified as being incomplete or non-existent at the present time.
