As a Supervisory Health Insurance Specialist, GS-0107-14, you will serves as the Branch Chief and is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to staff and team leaders with responsibility for developing and improving program strategies to enforce and monitor the CLIA program in its effort to ensure access to quality testing from laboratories that produce accurate, reliable, and timely results by which all Americans and their care providers can make informed health care decisions.Learn more about this agency
- Provides supervision to a subordinate staff.
- Establishes and maintains relationships and ongoing communication with and provides timely oral and written expert guidance, technical assistance and consultation pertaining to CLIA and related data systems.
- Leads special projects or studies of considerable scope and depth that are critical to the resolution of Branch operational issues and organizational problems.
- Serves as the CMS expert evaluator in conducting comprehensive studies of Branch operations and programs by determining procedural and regulatory deficiencies and provides recommendations and implementation timeframes.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel occasionally for this position.
