    This position is located in the United States Mint, Philadelphia, PA. The incumbent is responsible for the administration and accountability of the Philadelphia Mint's property management system.

    As a Inventory Management Specialist, you will:

    • Develop, and update local policy, plans, directives and procedures governing the Mint's property management system; provide guidance on all aspects of the system to ensure that it functions in accordance with the established laws, rules and regulations.

    • Consult with supervisors and managers to identify problems and/or discrepancies pertinent to the accountability of property; conduct required investigations and formulates corrective actions; periodically evaluates and analyzes the property management system and identifies functional deficiencies and determines the required improvements.

    • Prepare required accountability and property management records and reports; promote the rehabilitation and use of mint property; insure that mint property is released and disposed of in accordance with established laws, rules and regulations.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Occasional travel may be required 1 to 5 days per year.
