    Responsibilities

    • Serves as a shift supervisor with responsibility for planning, organizing, directing and evaluating the activities of subordinate IT Specialists and support staff in DLA's Wide Area Network (cont.)
    • (cont.) and support areas including, but are not limited to, the following functions and equipment: sustainment of DLA's global WAN infrastructure also known as the Enterprise Telecommunications Network (ETN), (cont.)
    • (cont.) sustainment of DLA Secure Internet Protocol Router Network (SIPRNET) over ETN (SoETN) network infrastructure, Layer 2 WAN switch sustainment, Layer 3 WAN router/switch sustainment, sustainment of WAN circuits, (cont.)
    • (cont.) enterprise Domain Name System (DNS) infrastructure sustainment, enterprise Virtual Private Network (VPN) infrastructure sustainment, and enterprise application proxy sustainment.
    • Supervises in the evaluation, testing, selection, maintenance, and services contained in the DLA WAN environment.
    • Develops, implements, and ensures compliance with plans, policies, standards, infrastructures, and architectures that ensures a reliable, stable, secure network framework for the DLA WAN environments.
    • Serves as a wide area network subject matter expert in J64 Network and Telecommunications Services Network Operations Division and reports to the chief of J64 NTS WAN Management.
