As a Paralegal Specialist - Virtual at the GS-0950-9/11, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Performing legal reviews of residential and business loan documents for compliance with applicable agency policies and practices, regulations, and laws.
Responding to loan related inquiries from, and preparing correspondence for, a wide range of customers such as Attorneys, borrowers, managers/supervisors, other internal and external partners and the general public.
Managing a portfolio of loans and performing all loan closing duties for any assigned loans while complying with portfolio management directives.
Making recommendations for the disbursement of funds within the agency guidelines.
Using Microsoft Office software or other computer applications such as mainframe database software to do research and perform a wide variety of other functions.
The PDC Ft. Worth, TX location is conveniently located near the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport and DART/TRE Station.

Mandatory Overtime: In order to respond quickly and efficiently to disaster survivors, substantial compensated overtime hours may be required while on assignment (up to seven days a week and ten to fourteen hours a day).

Qualifications
Generally, time in Non-Pay status is not creditable towards the specialized experience requirement listed below. You must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
You may qualify based on experience, education or a combination of both.
Experience: To receive credit, you must indicate the month and year as well as the average hours worked per week for each employer or that experience will not be credited for meeting the specialized experience requirement.
GS-09: To qualify you must have at least 1 full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-07 level in the Federal service that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skill, and ability to perform successfully in this position. This experience may have been gained in a Non-Federal service position. In addition, this Specialized Experience must demonstrate the following:
Responding to a variety of customer inquiries by providing information to internal and/or external customers;
Performing legal research of regulations, laws, legal databases, etc. to obtain information or address issues/concerns; AND
Reviewing loan or legal documents for compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
GS-11: To qualify you must have at least 1 full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the GS-09 level in the Federal service that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skill, and ability to perform successfully in this position. Education may be substituted for all or part of the experience requirements outlined above. If qualifying based on education, you must submit transcripts by the closing date of this announcement or you will not be found eligible. Because of the program requirements, your educational major is expected to be directly related to the position to be filled (law, legal studies, criminal justice, etc.). For this skill set, a degree in Business Administration is qualifying, provided the major/concentration was in law, finance, or similar area.
GS-09: Must have a master's or equivalent graduate degree in a related field or 2 full years of related progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, from an accredited college or university.
GS-11: Must have a doctorate or equivalent graduate degree in a related field or 3 full years of related progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, from an accredited college or university.
OR
A combination of experience and education as indicated above.
Education may be substituted for all or part of the experience requirements outlined above. Because of the program requirements, the educational major is expected to be related directly to the position to be filled (law, legal studies, criminal justice, etc.). For this skill set, a degree in Business Administration is qualifying, provided the major was in law, finance, or similar area.
