As a Supervisory Equal Opportunity Specialist, GS-0360-15 you will be responsible for:
• Make civil rights compliance determinations and ensure that complaints and proactive enforcement activities are processed in accordance with the Assistant Secretary's directives, regulations, policies, case law, and conform to established case-processing procedures.
• Ensure the work products of the regional offices are of high quality, are factually accurate, thorough, and legally sound, based on all applicable legal standards.
• Implement strategies, including internal controls, to ensure that the compliance determinations of the regional office are consistent both within the regional office and nationwide, and that all remedies obtained through resolution agreements are effective in eliminating discrimination and ensure their timely implementation.
• Responsible for the development and implementation of the regional office's proactive enforcement and technical assistance activities.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
Specialized Experience for the GS-15
One year of experience equivalent to the GS-14 performing all three (3) of the following duties or work assignments:
1. Experience in enforcing civil rights laws and regulations including theories, principles and practices; and the roles of federal and local government as applied to federally funded educational programs.
2. Experience supervising multiple attorneys and investigators in investigating and resolving complaints using sound investigative techniques.
3. Experience implementing organizational management principles and techniques as applied to administrative, budget, and personnel matters.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
The quality of your experience will be measured by the extent to which you possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs). You do not need to provide separate narrative responses to these KSAs, as they will be measured by your responses to the occupational questionnaire (you may preview the occupational questionnaire by clicking the link at the end of the Evaluations section of this vacancy announcement).
1. Knowledge of civil rights policies and procedures in education. Implements strategies to ensure compliance determinations are consistent.

Telework: This position is telework eligible. At the discretion of the supervisor, generally employees may be authorized to telework one day per week if they are on regular 8-hour work schedule. Teleworkers may participate in some Alternative Work Schedules (AWS) in combination with a Telework Agreement. However, all employees must work from the official worksite location a minimum of four (4) days per work week.
Bargaining Unit: This position is not included in the bargaining unit.
