This position is located in the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (DoD OIG). The incumbent of this position will work within the Office of the Deputy Inspector General of Investigations (DIG INV), Defense Criminal Investigative Service (DCIS), Investigative Operations Directorate.

You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirements:
Specialized Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level grade level or pay band in the Federal service that demonstrates skill in criminal Investigative techniques, knowledge of and application in the rules of criminal procedures, laws and rules of evidence, search and seizure and related issues in the conduct of investigations.

This is covered by the special retirement provisions for Federal Law Enforcement Officer (FLEO). Candidates without previous FLEO service must be under age 37.
