    This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration, National Archives and Records Administration. As a/an ARCHIVES TECHNICIAN, you will perform various duties related to the delivery, transfer, reference, and accessioning or disposition of records, and provides assistance to agency customers.

    As a ARCHIVES TECHNICIAN, you will:

    -Provide reference service by searching for records in various filing systems that are either cross-indexed or readily identified; and, refiles or interfiles records in various filing systems such as alphabetic, numeric, terminal digit, case file number, action date, etc.

    -Use the Archives and Records Centers Information System (ARCIS) to assign newly received transfers to electronic staging areas or individual shelf locations.

    -Review the ARCIS database to ensure accuracy and conformity of entries and makes basic corrections.
