As a Supervisory Government Information Specialist, you will:

Initiate, plan, monitor, track, coordinate, and supervise the FOIA activities of the analysts assigned to his/her section.
Develop policies, procedures, standards and relevant rules to meet the Department of Treasury’s disclosure goals and requirements with respect to the Freedom of Information and Privacy Acts (PA).
Advise the OFAC division personnel in the search for, and review of, records responsive to FOIA/PA requests and assists divisions in narrowing the scope of FOIA/PA requests.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience for the GS-14: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes ALL of the following: 

- Providing technical and administrative advice regarding a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) program. AND
- Providing advice in the development and oversight of policies, practices and procedures relating to the Freedom of Information Act program. AND
- Interacting and communicating with Federal Agencies and the public as the point of contact on matters relating to disclosure of information within the purview of the Freedom of Information and Privacy Acts. AND
- Independently processing initial FOIA requests.

In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required.
- Must successfully complete a background investigation.
- Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency
