Summary

Researches existing catalogs and intergovernmental contracts to make initial determinations regarding procurement method.
Reviews purchase requests to ensure that the specifications are adequately stated, funding and appropriate approvals are documented, and to determine the type of priority action required to meet deadlines.
Receives all incoming procurement documents and correspondence and distributes to appropriate Contracting office.
Makes proper and timely distribution of contractual documents.
This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
Qualifications
Time-in-Grade Requirements:
For entry at the GS-05 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-04 or higher grade in the Federal Service.
For entry at the GS-06 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-05 or higher grade in the Federal Service.
For entry at the GS-07 level, status applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-06 or higher grade in the Federal Service.
Specialized Experience:
For the GS-5, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-4 grade level in the Federal Service, Military, or Private Sector.
Specialized experience is defined as experience in receiving all incoming procurement documents and correspondence.
For the GS-6, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-5 grade level in the Federal Service, Military, or Private Sector.
Specialized experience is defined as experience in reviewing purchase request to ensure that the specifications are adequately stated, funding and appropriate approvals are documented, and determine the type of priority actions required to meet deadlines.
For the GS-7, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-6 grade level in the Federal Service, Military, or Private Sector.
Specialized experience is defined as experience in reviewing procurement request for accuracy, completeness of the customer requirements and prompt payment of invoices; and resolving customer problems relating to procurement.
In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirements, qualified applicants must also possess the quality of experience as it relates to how closely or to what extent an applicant's background, recency of experience, education, and training are relevant to the duties and responsibilities of the announced position. Candidates must clearly demonstrate the possession of competencies necessary to successfully perform the work of the position at the appropriate level to be qualified for the position.
