    • Work with interagency groups or Alaska Native organizations on subsistence issues affecting rural Alaskans;
    • Implement and communicate the complexities of subsistence provisions of ANILCA;
    • Use biological, cultural and socio-economic information in subsistence management decision making processes;
    • Coordinate and prepare reports that are used for decisions on management of subsistence hunting, fishing and gathering activities on Federal lands in Alaska;
    • Work with subsistence management in Alaska, including using laws and regulations directing the management of fish and wildlife on federal and states lands.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - Up to 5 to 15 % of the time is spent in rural (bush Alaska) conditions. Field visits may involve outdoor environments and travel via light fixed-wing aircraft and/or small watercraft and sea-going vessels.
