    OIG is organized into three line elements: the Offices of Investigations, Audits and Evaluations, and Healthcare Inspections; along with the Office of Contract Review, the Office of Management and Administration and the Office of Special Reviews. In addition to the Washington, DC, headquarters, OIG has offices located in more than 30 cities throughout the country.

    Responsibilities

    This position will be located in one of the following areas: Washington DC, Austin TX, Aurora CO, SanDiego CA, Salt Lake City UT.

    The Information Technology Specialist, located in the Office of Office of Management and Administration, Information Technology (IT) and Data Analysis Division, IT Support Section, is responsible for development, implementation, evaluation, and administration of OIG information systems, technical assistance, network systems management, and service desk & asset management for OIG personnel and offices nationwide.

    As an Information Technology Specialist, you will:
    - Advise the Director, Information Technology and Data Analysis Division official responses to Departmental, Federal, and other outside requests for information or reporting. 
    - Provide administrative and technical advice regarding electronic documents and electronic records including storage, retrieval, transmission, and access controls. 
    - Responsible for review and response on behalf of the Information Technology and Data Analysis Division regarding the OIG's mandatory review of draft and proposed laws, regulations, policies, and position papers.
    - Serve as a primary customer service coordinator for the Information Technology and Data Analysis Division and oversees customer service activities of lnformation Technology and Data Analysis Division staff.
