Duties

Help

Incumbent will perform a variety of tasks such as grilling or frying pancakes, hamburger, hot dogs, bacon, eggs and sausage, turning and regulate cooking temperature. Measuring ingredients according to recipes or as directed for preparation of salads, desserts, juices, fruit trays, etc. Incumbent responsibilities also include preparation of toast, salads, salad dressing and sandwiches. Place cooked foods in serving dishes, steam carts. Incumbent washes and cleans kitchen, equipment and work area. May operate a cash register and collect money, prepare cash fund documentation, assist with inventory and perform other related duties as assigned

  • Ability to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Background Check (NACI) with written inquiries.
  • Must be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate.
  • Work involves light to moderate physical effort such as frequently lifting or moving objects weighing up to 30 pounds, constantly standing and walking, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

Must be able to follow recipes, combine ingredients for plain or fancy salads, pizzas and other cooked dishes and menu items. Incumbent must have skills to perform tasks with several steps and use judgment in performs of tasks. Simple arithmetic and ability to read instructions as required. Working knowledge if sanitation procedures. Ability to use simple kitchen equipment and operate a holding oven and pizza maker. Must be able to relate inventory levels to purchasing requirements. Must be able to operate a cash register.
