    Summary

    This position is located in the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (DoD OIG), Mission Support Team, Quality Assurance and Standards. The position reports to the DoD OIG Chief of Staff.

    Responsibilities

    • Direct and manage a staff of auditor, program manager, and program analyst personnel in the conduct of quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) reviews in accordance with professional quality standards (CIGIE and GAO).
    • Manage projects, initiatives, and QA and QC reviews ensuring responsive, cohesive, and effective management with appropriate results within established time frames.
    • Oversee and manage the OIG's Enterprise Risk Management Program and guide the OIG's Risk Management Working Group in the development of the OIG's risk profile.
    • Oversee and manage the status of external recommendations made to the OIG to advise the IG of corrective actions, findings, and recommendations.
    • Oversee and manage the OIG's Managers' Internal Control Program (MICP). Serve as the OIG senior official for policy guidance and coordination with OIG components on MICP matters.
    • Prepare and issue the OIG's annual Statement of Assurance (SOA) within statutory guidelines.
    • Assess the OIG's internal controls to provide the IG with reasonable assurance that operations are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and operating as intended.
    • Coordinate, interface, and facilitate external peer reviews as necessary.

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel 10% or less for this position.
