This position is part of VISN 10 HR Modernization and is responsible for managing information management systems within Human Resources Service network wide. Incumbent administers various HR information management systems, overseeing data for VISN 10 and provides complex advisory services to enable managers and supervisors within VISN 10 to properly develop, organize, manage, and evaluate information.

Duties include but not limited to:
To qualify for this position, applicants must be a current Human Resource Specialist (Information Systems or HRIS) meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 01/22/2020.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.

To qualify at the GS-12 level: You must possess one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least GS-11. Specialized experience includes, but is not limited to the following: Advanced experience in human resources HRIS programs including advising employees, managers, and supervisors on HR information technology programs; providing advisory services to managers relative to creation of information systems, reports, and statistical data; providing guidance on a variety of complex HR problems as they relate to HR systems; analyzing statistical data related to HR management or programs to identify trends or workforce characteristics that may warrant program changes and/or enhancements;developing databases, reports, cost estimates, and analyzing options of these developments.
There is no educational substitution at this grade level.
