    The mission of the Office of Chief Counsel (OCC) is to provide services to resolve legal issues arising at the Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center (EMCBC), client sites, Office of Legacy Management and field locations. The successful candidate for this position will be an experienced contracts attorney who has had the responsibility of  providing legal services pertaining to Federal, state, administrative and /or procurement law.

    As an Attorney Advisor you will:

    • Providing legal advice and assistance to the Acquisition and Asset Management organization and all EMCBC Offices, including Source Selection Boards, concerning procurement procedures, laws, and regulations.
    • Advising and assisting with the formulation and execution of requirements applicable to the Environmental Management Consolidated Business Center (EMCBC) including procurement and disposal of property; records management; security matters for EMCBC facilities; the review, preparation, and negotiation of agreements, contracts, and other documents, and participation in various planning and negotiating teams on environmental, contractual, and other agreements.
    • Supporting in implementing procurement through participation in drafting and reviewing contractual documents, providing assistance in negotiation of contracts or claims, and presenting Department of Energy's position in bid protests, endeavoring to assure consistency between procurement activities and DOE programs, and other related functions

    Occasional travel - Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, training and/or conferences.
