    This position is located in the Manufacturing Department of the San Francisco Mint, Manufacturing and Support Divisions.  The incumbent directs project management activities, serving as a General Engineer with responsibility for directing project management and related execution activities involved with the acquisition, design, development of specifications and standards, equipment layout, planning and installation, commissioning, training, life-cycle engineering and integration.

    As a General Engineer, you will:

    -Serve as a multi-disciplinary, technical expert in the fields of mechanical-, electrical-, electronic-, computer-, industrial-engineering.
    -Responsible for the planning, development, direction, execution, and implementation of complex manufacturing and engineering processes, methods, standardization and procedures on plant systems.
    -Serve as multi-production Division technical expert in filling in any technical/ informational/ project gaps by utilizing expert knowledge of manufacturing and packaging systems and program management techniques; the resolution of which are typically of such breadth that they require planning and developing several phases, each involving the development or origination of some completely new feature(s).

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - 01 to 05 Nights per month
