Summary
This position is a Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) Laborer, NA-3502-02 position with DLA Installation Mgmt-Ops Susquehanna, Golf Course.

As a Laborer, NA-3502-02 , the incumbent is responsible for:
Mowing grass, laying sod, weeding flower beds, trimming and edging walkways and lawns. Pruning shrubs and trees; applying fertilizer, watering plants, cleaning out drainage ditches, shoveling snow from walks and driveways;
Loading and unloading conveyances; moving materials using wheelbarrows, hand trucks or dollies; stacking and arranging supplies for storage; collecting refuse and recyclable materials;
Digging, filling and tamping soil and gravel in earth excavations; leveling ground using pick, shovel, tamper and rake; AND
Cleaning rugs, drapes and waxing and polishing floors using heavy industrial-powered equipment.
1 Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
2. required to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for lengthy periods of time.
General Conditions of Employment

Qualifications
The minimum qualifications for this position are:
Experience working with and providing basic routine maintenance on simple power equipment and hand tools, such as lawn mowers, leaf blowers, edges and trimmers, scrubbers, buffers, steam cleaners and vacuums.
Education
This position does not have an education requirement, nor can education be substituted for experience.

This is an Open Continuous/Standing Register job opportunity announcement. This announcement will be used to fill vacancies as they become available. The first cut-off date is January 8, 2020, when all qualified applicants who will submit their application packet by this date will be referred first to the Selecting Official. This is a seasonal position. The incumbent will be hired at time of selection; however, may not be scheduled until prior to the golf season. After the golf season ends in mid-October the employee may go in a non-pay status for the duration of the winter until the golf season begins the following year.
The hiring manager may make selections from this referral certificate for up to 60 days after the closing date if additional vacancies become available.
