Summary

Duties

Help
  • Drives various types of vehicles from sedans to passenger vans and trucks weighing up to 10,000 pounds to deliver customer food orders on post.
  • Collects money for delivered orders and reconciles with delivery tickets.
  • Fills out driver's accident reports.
  • Performs driver's maintenance in accordance with established rules and regulations.
  • Performs lower graded Food Service and Custodial duties when not operating vehicles.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
  • A medical examination is required as physical effort includes walking, lifting and carrying items weighing 40 pounds or less, driving, bending and stooping.
  • Random drug testing is required.
  • Must be willing to accept varying and/ or rotating shifts to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • The dual compensation guidelines DO NOT apply to this position. All GS and NAF employees whether full-time or part-time are eligible to apply for this position.

Qualifications

1. Possess prior cash handling experience.
2. Possess a valid driver's license.

This experience must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position. Proof of valid driver's license will be required prior to appointment.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge of safety rules and traffic regulations. Skill in determining the shortest and safest route. Ability to recognize hazardous conditions. Ability to handle money and count change back to customer.
