Duties

Help
  • Develop and execute proactive strategic communications projects for AMCOM that support the command's campaign plan and other communication strategies.
  • Develop the concept, researching, coordinating with other directorates and other commands to gather information.
  • Writes and distributes press releases, news and feature articles, designs and publish or post to various venues and distributing the communications products in order to reach the target audiences.
  • Conduct research to obtain a representative sampling of issues and media print indirectly dealing with Department of the Army operations, interest and functions and maintains a pertinent database.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes developing communication strategies and plans to maintain public support, writing news and feature articles, new releases and public affairs guidance; preparing command briefings tailored to a variety of internal and external audiences and directing the development and execution of projects through the production of communication tools (i.e. print, visual, web-based, multimedia and video materials).This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower band in the federal service (NH-02).Aviation and Missile Command is a Demonstration Laboratory, and positions are placed in pay bands.

The pay band for this position, NH-3, is equivalent to GS-12 through GS-13. If the qualifications of the applicant selected for the vacancy exceeds the minimum required, placement salary maybe adjusted higher to commensurate with those qualifications.
