Duties

Help
  • You will be responsible for all receiving, shipping, inventory, and database management for the Navy Weapons Division.
  • You will be responsible for four different categories of supply: explosive ordnance items, inert ordnance items, inert equipment and supply items.
  • You will prepare required Naval Messages concerning ordnance movements and conditions.
  • You will assist in creating all purchase requisitions for the Navy Weapons Division and maintain a record of all outstanding orders and their current status.
  • You will identify and assist in resolving logistics problems reported by the fleet and contractors.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field L-Life Cycle Logistics Level I. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position requires sitting, walking, standing, bending and carrying of light items such as books, papers, and files.

Qualifications

NT-03:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-02 (GS-05/08) pay band or grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing supply support using an inventory management database system to control the level of ordnance items.

NT-02:
Your resume must demonstrate at least three years of general experience that includes one year of experience equivalent to the NT-01 (GS-01/04) pay band or grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates the ability to: (1) 1.Analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; (2) Plan and organize work; and (3) Communicate effectively orally and in writing.

SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR NT-03:
Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree.

Successfully completed two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree.
