    This position is located in the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), Research Services, Preservation Programs Division, Heritage Science Research and Testing. This position reports to the Director of Preservation Programs and is responsible for developing and delivering the Heritage Science Research and Testing mission and strategy.     As a DIRECTOR OF HERITAGE SCIENCE RESEARCH AND TESTING (Supervisory Physical Scientist), you will:
    -direct programs of applied research that address preservation challenges of a 21st century archives.
    -provide evidence used to inform preservation policy and contribute to setting the overall policies relating to preservation activities and practices.
    -develop work plans, organize, direct, and manage resources that have a significant influence throughout the organization to address key preservation challenges

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
