    Incumbent serves as an Archives Technician with the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA); Agency Services (A); Federal Records Centers Program (AF); and works under the general supervision of a supervisor or higher-graded technician experienced in the tasks associated with the incumbent's position. Incumbent performs various duties related to the delivery, transfer, reference, and disposition of records, and provides assistance to agency customers.

    Following are the duties of this position at the GS-07. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
    -Resolve inaccuracies, errors in calculation, and other problems in accordance with instructions and policies; and, makes the determinations necessary for approval of agency shipment of records.
    -Assign space for new transfers in accordance with established procedures, and review new transfers to ensure conformance with applicable records retention and appropriate NARA and office transfer guidelines.
    -Verify shelved records to ensure new transfers are at the target location and resolve transfer paperwork and shipment problems.
