    Summary

    Supervisory Contract Specialist with the Division of Acquisition Management, Phoenix Area Office located in Phoenix, Arizona. Incumbent is responsible for negotiations, administration, termination and acquisition functions and report to the Chief of the Contracting Officer.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the full scope of the acquisition cycle with contracting authority for negotiations, administration, termination, and acquisition functions;
    • Analyzes operational needs in terms of sound contracting objectives to make decisions on award of contracts, grants, and cooperative agreements in compliance with laws and regulations;
    • Provides technical oversight and guidance to appointed Project Officers in all phases of the acquisition cycle.
    • Provides supervisory personnel management duties for the Acquisition Management Branch staff; and
    • Establishes yearly goals and objectives and monitors and evaluates progress of a wide range of contract specializations.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
