Qualifications

BASIC REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's or graduate/higher level degree: major study in an academic field related to the medical field, health sciences or allied sciences appropriate to the work of the position. This degree must be from an educational program from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: In addition to meeting the basic requirements above, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in Federal service as defined below:

Specialized experience is experience which is directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include experience making technical and administrative decisions in the coordination of an occupational health and safety program related to research evaluation and development, budget planning, and scientific program analysis.

RESEARCH POSITION: An evaluation of the scientific contributions, recognition and professional standing of the researcher as they relate to the position being filled will be made to determine qualifications. Candidates should include all pertinent information regarding their research accomplishments, e.g. List of publications and presentations.

Education

Education completed in colleges or universities outside the United States may be used to meet the education requirements.
