    Summary

    This position is located in the Department of Defense Office of Inspector General (DoD OIG), Mission Support Team, Logistics Management Office (LMO). The selectee is responsible for implementing and managing Safety and Occupational Health programs for offices within and outside the National Capital Region and CONUS to comply with mission and regulatory requirements.

    Responsibilities

    • Inspects or evaluates facilities used by OIG employees for compliance with safety requirements, prepares reports, and recommends corrective action.
    • Coordinates safety and occupational health programs with external agencies
    • Implements and maintains Emergency Preparedness Programs including the Occupant Emergency Plan.
    • Establishes and coordinates training for employees to respond to emergencies.
    • Performs risk management consultation.
    • Maintains program records and documentation.
    • Trains employees on safety, occupational health, and emergency preparedness.
    • Assists in maintaining budget and financial information for the program and works with contractors and acquisitions to support the program.
    • Performs facility design reviews for compliance with relevant safety codes, rules, and regulations.

    Travel Required

    Occasional travel - You will be expected to travel for this position. Travel is approximately 25%.
